Learning Virtues is a program being developed for introduction into schools in 2008

Learning Virtues identifies dispositions, attitudes, values, learning and thinking behaviours for success from Year Prep to Postgraduate.

A trial of the student self-assessment instrument with Year 8 students has convinced me that the learning virtues I have selected will be a compass to guide the learning of all students and their teachers who become involved in the Learning Virtues program.

Learning Virtues provides a simple program to build the learning culture of a school. It will be more readily implemented than the more complex programs already on offer that sometimes do not go beyond the introduction to the implementation phase of the change process.
